ABOUT THE CLUB

Where we are in 2010.

What was originally an Autokraft Arrow membership has expanded to take in
cars from Richard Stewart (RS Daytona's), RAM LR Daytona's and Southern Roadcraft (SR) Daytona's.
Members with these cars have now spread into Europe and even
Australia.

The club was formed after the brilliant engineer Emilio Garcia had gone out of business for a second time and absconded leaving many owners with part finished cars missing parts etc. The collective joined together to help finish their cars. The combined knowledge and resources led to the completion of many part built cars.

In the beginning enthusiastic spyder owner John Allan agreed to run the club with the introduction of a regular magazine and later it really took off with the introduction of a club web site and e-mail facilities.  The club just grew and grew from there. It caters for all types of Daytona replicas and anyone who has an interest in this type of car.

The club can be contacted on e-mail daytonareplicaclub@hotmail.com .  Since the passing of John Allan his duties have been divided among the members and it is business as usual, his wife, Wendy, continues as membership secretary. John  Kelsy has taken up the publishing reins and does an excellent job of keeping the members informed and in touch with each other between club meetings. There is a vast technical knowledge amongst owners and it is there for you take advantage of, why not come and join us?

Where we are in 2010

In the past few years and since we got an Internet presence our already European membership has added members based in the US and one in Australia . One even has the original moulds for the Arrow-Autokraft cars and is busy creating a business making available spyders berlinetta and competizione cars!

Equally what was originally an Autokraft Arrow membership has expanded to take in cars from Richard Stewart (RS Daytona's), RAM RT, McBernie and Southern Roadcraft (SR) Daytona's.

So, we are now the home of all Daytona replicas whoever created them.

This years annual meeting at Sandringham on 12th June will be particularly memorable as the owner of the blue Daytona Berlinetta which Richard Hammond fell in love with on Top Gear last year has agreed to attend our meeting with his car.
